Learn everything you need to know about starting the new year 25-26 at
St. Patrick School!
SCHOOL BEGINS MONDAY, AUGUST 25, 2025
It's never too early to start preparing for a new year of school, whether you're returning for another year or just starting your journey at St. Patrick School. Explore the resources on this page to prepare for school.
It’s essential for you and your child to be prepared for the first day of school, so check this list of recommended school supplies.
At St. Patrick School, our traffic policy is designed to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families by promoting respectful, efficient, and orderly drop-off and pick-up procedures on and around campus.
As we prepare for a successful school year, all necessary forms for student pick-up and dismissal must be completed. These forms help us manage the safe and efficient dismissal of students.
For pick-up, parents must fill out the authorization form detailing who is permitted to collect their child from school. Additionally, for students who will be walking or leaving the premises unescorted, a separate dismissal permission form is required. This process guarantees that every student is safely accounted for, whether they're being picked up or walking home.
1. STUDENT PICK UP RELEASE FORM
(RECOGIDA ESTUDIANTES)
Student dismissal will always be done through the official parent pick-up number (gafete). Exceptions will only be made if the Pick-Up Release Form has been properly completed and signed.
● Please email the completed form to info@stpatrick.edu.do
● To add or update the names of authorized individuals allowed to pick up your child, you must notify your child’s homeroom teacher in writing.
Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and organized dismissal process for all students.
2. WALKER DISMISSAL PERMISSION (CAMINANTES)
(Students from 6th to 12th grade):
To facilitate the dismissal process, students from 6th to 12th grade have the advantage of being allowed to leave on their own or in groups to nearby pickup points, so you can collect them without having to wait in line in front of the school campus.
With the primary goal of safeguarding your child's safety, we have made available an authorization form that parents must complete and sign, granting permission for their child to exit the campus independently.
● Authorized students will be issued an ID badge that will identify them to the school’s security and Reception staff, helping to streamline the dismissal process.
● The signed form must be submitted to Mr. José Dotel, Head of Student Entry/Dismissal and the Discipline Department.
● It is important that you speak with your child and clarify that once they leave the campus, they will not be allowed to return and must be picked up at the prearranged location.
● Parents who submitted this form in previous years must renew their authorization.
We kindly ask that all parents who have authorized their children to walk, use public transport, ride with others, or take taxis complete the corresponding authorization form. Without it, students will not be allowed to leave the school premises.
To help you get ready for the new school year, our Uniform and School Resources Store is open and fully stocked!
Families can purchase official SPS uniforms, accessories, and essential resources like directly on campus. We recommend visiting early to ensure availability and avoid last-minute rushes.
School Calendar & Important Dates: The calendar is sent via email at the beginning of the year. Parents can access the calendar on the Plus Portals website, which is updated weekly and published on Instagram. Please remember to check the calendar regularly for possible changes and upcoming events.
The school provides cafeteria services to the entire educational community, where students and staff can purchase snacks and lunches. Click to learn how the cafeteria operates:
